Une bibliothèque d’anatomie pathologique

Quand on travaille en bibliothèque hospitalière, on se dit que les professionnels ne viennent plus à cause des ressources électroniques.

Que nous nous tirons une balle dans le pied en leur fournissant des accès distants, qui leur permettent d’accéder à nos ressources sans venir physiquement à la bibliothèque.

Une autre raison, plus ancienne, vient du fait que les livres les plus utiles et les plus courants dans une spécialité, hé bien les médecins les ont déjà dans leurs bureaux ou leurs services. C’est le cas aussi pour les périodiques : au hasard des erreurs du vaguemestre de l’hôpital, on s’aperçoit que telle revue, que l’on paye très cher et qui n’est plus consultée, est déjà reçue en 10 exemplaires (authentique !) dans tel service.

Un bon bibliothécaire médical devrait donc normalement rêver d’être une petite souris, et de pouvoir aller nuitamment visiter les bibliothèques de chaque service, pour y noter les ouvrages et les revues qu’il n’a plus besoin de commander, ou qui sont au contraire des indispensables.

Ce n’est donc pas une bibliothèque idéale, mais cela a le mérite d’être une bibliothèque réelle, constituée par et pour des praticiens. Si cela peut alimenter vos réflexions de poldoc, profitez-en :
